Stocking of “trophy” fishery Vltava 24
As Monday 16th April is the opening day at our trout fisheries, we always stock rainbows before this date as people like to take rainbows for table and they leave browns in the water. Average weight of stocked rainbows is about half of kilo, but we always buy some good fish and disperse them to all trout fisheries. Only to the trophy fishery Vltava 24 (located close to České Budějovie) we stock mainly these big fish. During last two seasons, fish were stocked only at places accessible with car. But for this season we decided to stock fish from raft and distribute them along the entire 6 kilometres long fishery. So it will be not possible to catch so many fish in one place like last year, but fish will be everywhere and everybody has a chance to a big fish.
A organised first stocking for Friday 13th April and I managed a group of friends to help. Tobi picked me up at home at 7 a.m. and by the way to Boršov we bought coffee for all members of the team, which was composed by Tobi, Jirka, Honza and me as “workers”, Tobi brought also friend Martin who is professional photographer. Pusťa came on the way to work, so we also had a lawyer :-) Other things you can see on pictures.
After work we went for lunch and the top of the first half of the day was large schnitzel in the pub “U Brejžků” in Boršov.
Tobi took me to my work, where I had an appointment with my boss and with a student, which made diploma thesis about Czech fishing union and I had to finish some other things. I came home at 8 p.m, kissed my wife and kinds and had a call from my friend Michal which invited me to the pub in front of my house for a beer. What a nice day !!!
