nice-day Trout season starts in the Czech republic always on 16th April, but nice warm weather in the second half of March beckoned us to the water. We have few non trout sections of river where is possible to fish whole year around. I suggested trip to the non-trout section of Malše river to Tobi and he surprisingly agreed :-) . Hi picked me up with his new SUW after work and we stayed at river at 4:30 p.m. Water was clear and relatively low, 18°C and cloudy sky looked great.  Above the river fluttered olives and some midges and we heard rising fish from time to time. We jumped to the river with nymphs very quickly and my first fish was small chub in backwater under the rocky bank, Tobi also got first fish immediately. I have to say, that it was visible, that Tobi had have more practice, mainly in the first hour he got twice more fish than me. But after this first hour I recalled all instincts and result was more equal. We caught about 50 fish altogether including one grayling and 5 browns, rest was chub and dice. I tested new reel and French leader from Franta Hanák and it worked great. What a nice three hours :-)
